eBay
1947 1946 Harley Davidson Knucklehead Frame and Springer Front end. This is a true barn find and when I found it was told that it had not been moved from that spot in 40 years. Please do not bid unless you are 100% serious and have money in hand to purchase. Please do your own research to determine exact years of these parts and if you can use them for your needs. I have asked a few people in know and received 47 or 46 I thought 46 just due to the extra metal at the back of the frame neck but I can not confirm for sure either of those years so do you own research this is obviously been sold as is where is. This is a very neat find and very useable restorable parts, the frame looks to have all tabs intact except one tab I think it is a rear brake hose mount. Other than that looks to be very stock uncut correct frame and front end. Front center shock on the front end may be too far gone but the rest looks great, there is a 3" I am guessing stress crack in the right front leg. I will show a picture of but easily fixed and can be restored by the proper person.
Also as you can see has seat mount that looks to be in great shape also has pogo seat post in the frame, as well as kickstand and foot rocker parts, engine guard. The pictures should tell the story. Bearings for front end neck are shot will need to be un-seized.
Very neat piece here would be great start for knucklehead restoration.
Shipping and payment for shipping is solely the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay. Please do this prior to bidding. I am not sure the best route as it is pretty heavy and big. I have a pallet that I can strap it to if that helps and I will also wrap best I can with cardboard, bubble wrap and plastic wrap to protect it. Some shipping methods may prefer to not have on a pallet especially if you use a motorcycle transport type company be easier to handle and tie down without a pallet and not take up as much room. Just let me know but I will not disassemble or change anything it will ship exactly as you see it. Depending on where you are located I may have some good shipping options through motorcycle transport companies that should ship it for $400 or so to California but I can not say for sure and up to you. If going to West Coast or in-between Patriot Express Logistics is a good source to try, Uship is also another good source for you. Local pick up is also fine. My zip is 28411 Wilmington NC for you to find out your shipping prices. Overseas bidding is also fine but same applies. Please arrange before bidding or at least make sure you come through with payment if you win.
I have listed a lot of bikes on eBay and have a lot of happy customers and this is sure to make another. The shipping is 100% the winning bidders responsibility but I will assist in any way on my end and be available for you to pick it up or meeting the shipper if shipping. If you are shipping I also have a good shipping option and would be glad to help. I bank with Bank Of America and Wells Fargo for easy transfer. $150 Deposit is required within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance paid within the week.
Please do not bid unless you have money in hand and are ready to purchase. Full payment of this frame is required within the week of the auctions end. Make sure you are ready to purchase and are 100% sure.
Overseas bidding/buying is fine. If you have zero or low feedback please send me a quick email to let me know you are serious about this bike before you hit the buy it now.
I will be traveling until 3/7 so it may take me a little longer to answer any questions that may come up but will try my best to respond.
