Adorable vintage 1950s St. Michael brand soft marspun cotton day dress. It has a button-back-fastened, elongated bodice with an oval neckline and extended shoulders forming brief cap sleeves. The semi-full skirt is softly gathered into the dropped waistline seam. Please note that the ridge you can see at the waist is not part of the dress, it's the waistband of the petticoat I used underneath (which isn't included in the sale).

SMALL

Bust 36" (although due to the cut of the bodice this is a little tricky to take accurately)
Natural Waist 27"
Dropped Waist/Hip 34"
Back Bodice Length from Mid-Shoulder 17 1/4"
Skirt Length 20 1/2"
Hem 1 3/4"

In very good, strong and wearable condition. It has been cut down from its original length unfortunately; and I found the right shoulder seam is a bit stretched next to the neckline. Otherwise I see no problems.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS! THANK YOU FOR VIEWING!

I don't usually sell on eBay anymore, prefering to use Etsy, but I'm moving house in about three weeks' time and I'd like to try and downsize the amount of stuff I take to the new place, so I'm having a one-off 99p eBay auction sale. I really don't want to accept returns for these items; I've examined them all carefully and mentioned all flaws I can find, and given detailed measurements, so please be sure before you bid - feel free to ask any questions too! But, if you are unhappy when you receive you item, please do contact me first, before resorting to unpleasant feedback, and I'll do what I can to help - we can always resolve any problems amicably between ourselves! :)

YES, I WILL CONSIDER A BUY IT NOW PRICE!

Overseas buyers - I do not send out anything without I tracking number, I'm sorry, and this is quite expensive. Please don't ask if I'll send an item by standard Airmail. Although, I may have over estimated shipping, because occasionally I've not charged enough, so if there is a big difference once the item is shipped you can expect a partial shipping refund.

My name is Tessa, I'm 32, and live in Shropshire with my American husband, a writer. I've been collecting, and wearing, vintage clothing since my late teens. I started with 60s and 70s clothing, but soon came to realise my favourite style was the 'New Look' style of the late 1940s to the early 1960s, and you'll find this is mainly the era I sell. I have a bit of an obsession with 1950s dresses and skirts, and I have MANY in my collection, I can't even tell you how many! I mainly concentrate my collection on novelty print cotton dresses and skirts; and dresses made by the iconic British firm of Horrockses - the Queen wore Horrockes dresses in the 1950s!! - of which I have about 60 (I think, I haven't counted for a while!).
