With less than 24 hours to auction end and 105 people watching this listing , im disappointed that i havnt seen a bid , ive had conversations with a couple of folk who say they are interested. clearly not interested enough to bid. think it will now be removed as i really am not prepared to see it go for the start money , it cost me more , so until another time and a conversation with someone who recogises its potential i will find a place to keep it
Like all good specials this old bike is still a work in progress . ive owned it for just over two years and apart from firing it up a few times to run round the block have rather neglected it , possibly time for someone else to continue with it . Put together in the 1980s and ive spoken with builder , it is a late 1940's (1947) 350cc cammy mark 2 engine in an early 1950.s RS type frame most likely from a MAC. Ignition is coil with the battery charged by a small 12 volt kuboto alternator , Wheels are 1970's oriental ,the builder thinks they were k2 honda , anyway they all work and the bike was in regular use in the early 1990s , Laid up for a few years then recomissioned in 2005 and run thru til 2011 With the battery charged up it still starts up fine and sounds good , the electrical system ie lights will need rewired as they are anything but tidy . likewise the frame paint is showing its age . . One for a velo fellow who knows what they are looking at . Ive been tempted to sell this a couple of times but resisted mainly due to the fact that i swopped a model 9 sunbeam for it so felt that i should do this one justice . Ive still Too many distractions so if i can get what its worth back it will go. any question please ask or call me on 07931 561898 , The Buyer collects, pays a deposit of £100 at auction end with the balance in cash upon collection or thru bank transfer.paypal fees are ridiculous on a high value item so please note my preferred payment terms |
