We are very pleased to offer these classic and much sought after high gain, low noise versions of the 12AX7 or ECC83 valve made by Beijing in the 1980's and used by Marshall and several other guitar amplifier manufacturers. They have since acquired a cult following with guitarists who love their gain, tone and low noise performance.

These valves have a dual supported dimpled square getter, are dual marked 12AX7 and 6N4 with the Beijing star and rays logo and have the all important "J" Military spec diamond logo stamped on top.

Only a limited quantity of these increasingly rare valves available. Now very few left!

Manufactured by Beijing in Peking in 1989, these valves are an ideal replacement for standard 12AX7 (ECC83), 12AX7A or 7025 valves in Marshall plexi, metalface or Valvestate guitar amplifiers, Fender Tweed, silverface or blackface amps or for any other guitar amp or  DIY build guitar amplifier where their distinctive 80's rock sound will really bring your performance to life!

See our store for other listings for 12AX7A, 12AT7, 12AU7 and for "old school" construction genuine 7025 preamplifier valves, or the highly regarded Mullard reissue ECC83 or Psvane hifi 12AX7TII valves.

<Handy hint> Changing your valve

Once you have the back or cover removed from the amplifier/radio/record player you are changing a valve in it's easy to change. First, the safety warnings;

Unplug the unit from the mains before removing any covers.

Don't try to change the valve when the unit has been recently switched on... valves get hot enough to burn you!

Try not to touch anything inside the unit except the valve you are changing as some parts can hold high voltages even when it has been switched off for some time.

Now for the easy bit.... hold the valve you are changing between two fingers and your thumb and rocking it slightly to free its pins, pull it firmly straight up and it will unplug. You will see that the pins form a circle with a gap in it where there is no pin.

Take a look at the socket to see where the gap with no pin socket is and taking the new valve, line it up correctly with the gap and again rocking it around slightly (only a few degrees) push the new valve in until it is firmly seated. Replace back cover, switch on.... all done!

Preamp valves like this double triode don't need any further setting up or baising, so thats all there is to it. Changing these valves can make your sound instantly brighter and punchy, so why not spend a few pounds and bring the life back into your amplifier!

If you are ordering from more than one of our listings, note that we can offer you reduced combined shipping ONLY if you use "Buy it now" on all items then request a total from seller BEFORE making payment. We will then send you a combined shipping eBay invoice to pay. This is NOT possible if you have already paid for any of the items you are ordering.

Customers in Italy please note that due to the high number of orders that vanish and never arrive whilst in the hands of the Italian postal system, we will only send orders under £22 in value to Italy via standard untracked airmail. If your items total more than £22, please arrange to pay for tracked and signed shipping so that your order may be shipped safely and securely. If this option is not offered in the listing, please use the following listing to pay the extra cost of this.

Also note that orders sent to Italy may take MUCH longer than eBays estimate to be delivered and, whilst some orders do arrive within a week or two, many orders sent to Italy are not delivered for three or perhaps even four weeks! This is entirely outside our control, as we ship within two working days and once your order is in the hands of Poste Italiane, there is nothing we can do to get it to you any faster.

Please DO NOT send messages with the title "Item not received" as these open complaint cases against us and damage our seller rating! Instead please use the general "Other" heading to ask about your delivery if several weeks have passed.

Lastly, all please note that when eBay asks you "Did the item arrive on or before" their estimated delivery date, it also damages our seller rating if you answer "No", so bear in mind that we always ship within two working days, so if you answer "No" because your local postal service (especially in Italy!) has taken weeks to deliver, you are punishing us, not them!

Thank you all for your kind consideration of the above and remember that we will always do our very best to sort out any problems or questions you may have related to your order if you contact us using the "Contact Seller" and (if the choice is given) "Other" ask a question of seller options.
