Rare 24 Hour Dial Pocket Watch w/ perfect Rare day and night Dial c1890

This is a silver pocket watch made in Switzerland circa 1890

The watch has a good balance and spring but is fully wound and not ticking. Also THE WINDER IS LOOSE. The watch also has a lever at the one position which is stuck. I presume the function for this was to switch hand setting to the small dial in the upper half but this needs attention

The watch is NOT working and is sold “as is” with NO refunds or returns accepted

Movement – the light gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and has 15 Jewels. The movement is in 50% mint condition – many scratches and marks. ALSO the winder is loose

Case – the movement comes in a silver case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case is signed “Balancier, Spiral Breguet, Ancre Ligne Droite, 15 Rubis”. The case has a hinged bezel and back cover. The case is decorated with floral engraving and a vacant crest on the back. The case is in 70% mint condition – wear and rubbing and also several deep bruises and dings

Dial – the rare enamel dial has a black upper and a white bottom half. The dial has true 24 hour markings and the main hands rotate once every 24 hours. In the upper section is a smaller white enamel dial which indicated the 12 hours and rotates twice a day. The bottom half has a sub seconds dial. The watch has a pair of gilt hour and minute hands, a blue steel sub seconds hand and a blue steel smaller hour hand in the little dial – the minute hand is missing. Also you cannot set the hands on this dial – see first paragraph above. The dial is in 99% mint condition – no marks or damage, just light dirt

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 51mm wide x 16mm deep

The watch is stem wound / pin set
