Which game consoles can I connect?

You can connect XBox 360, PS3 & Wii - using the yellow, red & white AV lead that came with your console.

Technical information : Hardware requirements 2GHz dual-core processor, 100GB free hard drive space, 4GB RAM on XP, Vista, 7 & 8, screen of at least 1024x768 resolution, DVD writer for loading the software - basically any PC made in the last 5 years is fine (excluding a few very cheap netbooks with 10" screens & no DVD drive). The software supports PAL (UK/Europe/Australia/New Zealand) & NTSC (USA/Canada) devices. The maximum supported frame size is: PAL (UK & Europe) 720 x 576 (DVD quality) @ 25fps / NTSC (USA) 720 x 480 @ 30fps. Our kit has been tested with 32 & 64 bit versions of Windows 8, 7, Vista & XP. Captures video & audio over USB2 (older USB1 is too slow) to a standard MPEG-2 file. Adapter & software can capture in PAL_I & PAL60/NTSC_433 modes - required by some XBox360 titles. Captures all video & audio being output to TV. If you want to record audio from a headset also, you'll need a Turtle Beach type headset with the phono audio breakout adapters that make headset chat come through your TV OR you can record a background audio track using Audacity & then import that into the edit screen in Arcsoft.

We've tested the kit with a wide variety of laptop & desktop PCs running Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP. 

If your PC is less than seven years old, it will be powerful enough to run our kit.

We give you all the hardware and software you need to capture from game console to your PC (if you normally connect to your TV over HDMI make sure you still have the original AV lead - with yellow, red & white plugs - that was also included with your console, cheap replacements are available on eBay if you've lost it). The included software makes the capturing, editing & producing of your project simple. Our kit includes two pages of easy-to-follow instructions for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista & XP, along with a video tutorial on the CD that shows you exactly what to do.

We know our products inside and out & only sell directly to the customer. Many of the other generic video capture devices will say 'also capture from Xbox & PS3', but then don't bother to tell you how!

Frequently Asked Questions Q. What resolution videos can I make using your kit? A. 640x360 (Youtube standard window), 854x480 (bigger YouTube) & 1280x720 HD (upscaled). Capture resolution of the device is 576p for PAL games and 480p for NTSC games. Q. Does the kit capture using the HDMI connection? A. No, HDMI lead is left disconnected from your console. You use the AV lead (yellow, red & white). Q. Does the kit work with all versions of Microsoft Windows? A. Yes. All 32 & 64 bit versions of Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista & XP on any PC less than 7 years old. You need a 2GHz processor, 2GB RAM & 100GB free HD space to capture lag-free. Q. Can I record audio commentary from my Turtle Beach X12 headset on Xbox 360? A. Yes. You'll end up with one audio track containing all the game audio, plus the headset & mic audio too. If you require separately editable audio tracks you need to use Audacity some extra breakout leads (see below). Q. Can I record audio from my standard Xbox 360 headset? A. Yes. But you'll need these adapters & have to run Audacity software to capture the extra audio track. Q. Can I see a demo video you made using the kit? A. Yes. We've made several demos. Search on Youtube for Game2PCdemo. You can expect the same quality, if you follow our instructions & video guide. Q. Will the kit work with newer consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One? A. No. Those newer consoles don't have analog AV out ports, only HDMI. Q. Can this kit capture from older home computers from the 1980's like ZX Spectrum, Commodore and Atari. A. Yes, if you've had the TV output Composite Modded.

Please remember this isn't a HDMI capture kit, it's standard resolution only - but you can use it to stream game video without needing the latest spec PC.
