This is such a gorgeous dress in the softest powder blue colour. Sleeveless with empire line bust, it drops straight down to give a slim fit silhouette. Beautiful ruffles decorate over the neck area, in vertical panels down the dress and t the bottom. It's fully lined.

Jean Varon began designing in 1959. His work was particularly modernist in the 1960s and some thought him to be the true inventor of the mini skirt, rather than Mary Quant. He also designed outfits for Diana Rigg in The Avengers. This dress is a great collectors piece, as part of English fashion history.

Size: Small
Measures: 34 bust, 15" at empire line, under the bust, 36" hips, 55" Long from top of the shoulder to the bottom hem.

Condition: Fantastic condition throughout. I have photographed an area on the ruffles up the back which has a slight rust mark on it from the zip - this is not really noticeable when worn but I've shown a really up close photo There is one area on the front of the dress which has an ever so slight couple of tiny pulls - I've shown this in the photos too.
