AUCTION FOR STAN & SHARON SAKAI

This is Cool! This is an Original piece of art by Cartoonist... Stephanie Gladden. This is an original "Usagi" drawing. This is done in Pen/Ink on bristol paper and is about 13 1/4 X 17 inches in size. This is a great piece of art from a classic cartoonist.
Please Note: This artwork will be published in the upcoming Darkhorse Comics special book, "THE SAKAI PROJECT; Celebrating 30 Years of Usagi Yojimbo", Being release in July, 2014 (at San Diego Comic-Con) with all proceeds going to Stan & Sharon Sakai.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Let’s let Stephanie Gladden do the talking: “Started my comics career in ’93 and drew plenty of licensed characters (LOONEY TUNES, REN & STMPY, WOLF & RED, PEPPER ANN, THE SIMPSONS, etc.).  Also drew some newspaper strips of BUGS BUNNY and THE SIMPSONS. In ’98, started writing and drawing my own comic book, HOPSTER’S TRACKS.  Worked on a story in Jim Ottavini’s DIGNIFYING SCIENCE.  Presently a character artist at Cartoon Network.  Still draw plenty of comic pages too, including more of my own characters.  Also had a lot of fun last year working on DC’s SWEATSHOP with Peter Bagge.”

ABOUT THE AUCTION: This is an auction conceived and organized by CAPS (Comic Art Professional Society) to help aid USAGI YOJIMBO creator Stan Sakai and his wonderful wife Sharon with increasing medical bills due to Sharon's present debilitating illness. We have items by many of the industry's top artists, companies, and fans alike. With over 400 pieces to be auctioned here, we will be listing 30-40 pieces of original art, signed prints and books, and limited edition statues every week. Each auction will run 10 days, and will start on every Thursday for a minimum of 10 weeks. Be sure to bookmark this page, and let's raise some money for a great guy and his family!

While eBay prohibits us from listing specific names of the SPECTACULAR artists who personally gave us art to sell in our series of auctions, we have a lot of talented artist and amazing items, and encourage you to check out our other auctions, and to bookmark this page since we will listing 30-50 items every week... And will keep listing till its all gone

USAGI YOJIMBO BOOK: As a major part of our auctions, we will be selling many pieces of Usagi Yojimbo tribute art by fans and professionals alike. Much of this art will be published in July by Dark Horse in the book THE SAKAI PROJECT: ARTISTS CELEBRATE THIRTY YEARS OF USAGI YOJIMBO. Because of their love for Stan & Sharon, the list of professionals who contributed to this project is unbelievably impressive! CA. SALES TAX: We MUST add 9% sales tax to ALL sales in CA. We are not set up to take re-sale numbers so please don't ask.

SHIPPING: All shipping will be done once a week, due to the volume, and the fact that this is all being done by volunteers. We will charge a fee for shipping based by weight. Most art weighs just over 1lb to ship AFTER packing material, and we will be adding 1.00 to each item to cover said packing material (handling), all items will go out thru USPS Priority Mail with Cert. Of Delivery.

OVERSEAS / CANADA: We will also ship Overseas and Canada by weight PLEASE WAIT FOR INVOICE. We cannot use "Proof of Delivery" for overseas packages unless you pay for "International Priority" but you will have a US Customs number to track items.

MULTIPLE ORDERS: We will gladly combine shipping, but PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE! But Selling this many pieces, I can not "hold" your items while you wait for more to be listed. You must pay for any items you won, then if you are bidding on more, I can wait to mail it (but never more than 2 weeks at a time). I understand you might want to buy things every week, but, for paperwork reasons, you will just receive multiple packages every few weeks.
