This is an impressive fossil leaf from the extinct plant Allophylus flexifoli, which was a member of the Sapindaceae family (surviving members of this family include maples and horses chestnuts. It is from the Eocene epoch and comes from Utah's Green River Formation. It is in excellent condition, with fine details and the veining is quite clear. The dark brown color contrasts well with the light gray shale. There is no damage.
