Rooster Schlappen & Saddle Feathers:  Rooster Schlappen Feathers are a type of Rooster Feather located at the base of the tail.  The Feathers are soft and flexible but wider and denser than the Saddle Feathers.  Rooster Saddle  Feathers are thin stemmed and very flexible with lots of movement and have a generous amout of fluff at the base, we offer both types in our store.  

Coloring of Rooster Schlappen & Saddle Feathers:  If a solid color is shown, this means the feathers have been first bleached white, then dyed to a solid color.  If the color is two toned, usually darker at the base, they have been dyed over their natural coloring.
