Up for sale is this beautiful game worn LA Kings 2 patch jersey worn by Wayne Gretzky in the 1991-92 season . This was the NHL's 75th and LA Kings 25th anniversaries respectively . A jersey similar to this one was sold in 2006 for $ 30,581 dollars .
During the season which this offered jersey was used , Wayne occasionaly directed that one of his children's names be stitched into the hem . In this particular instance , his daughter's name , Paulina , appears there ( in pink , of course ) on a section of tackle twill which was then sewn into the hem . Attached on the inside is a Velcro patch intended to secure the jersey in the high-energy of competition . Missing is the fight strap , which Gretzky customarily removed that season . This jersey has no team repairs but shows use with light pilling toward the cuff on the right sleeve as well as light burns . Stick marks appear on the front and back . Other evidence of game use is seen by perspiration .
