eBay
For sale is an Apple IIgs ROM 01 system fully loaded with 6.25MB of RAM with an Applied Engineering GS-RAM Plus card.  This system also contains an Apple II High-Speed SCSI card with an external Apple 80SC 80MB hard drive attached.  Keyboard and mouse are also included, the monitor shown in the images is not included in this listing.  This is a system that I have put together from items in my own collection that I never got around to utilizing or thought could go to better use.  The system is not yellowed too much, as usual the front is more yellowed than the rest but I consider this a nice system in terms of the color.  I wish I could include a monitor to make this a complete system but I do not have any extras to spare.  I can point you to a few places online that may still have them if you want an AppleColor RGB monitor (which I recommend).  Every component of this system has been tested and any defects are listed to the best of my knowledge.

NOTE:  The tape residue has been removed, but was done after the pictures were taken.

The Apple 3.5" Drive included is basically brand new and was hardly used.  It will come with the original box shown which includes the original foam inserts and original bag (serial numbers match on the drive and box).  The drive has been previously disassembled for cleaning and the drive heads have also been cleaned thoroughly.  The drive is not yellowed and is completely uniform in color top to bottom.

I don't have any of the manuals for this system except for the SCSI card.  The keyboard has a small crack on the front and a small chip on the top, but neither is very noticeable. The only other issue the system has is one of the memory chips on the card is bad.  You can still find these online to replace, or if you run into errors with memory (I have not) you can remove the last bank and the card will only have 5MB.  To be honest I've never used more than about 2.5MB of RAM on a fully loaded IIgs.  The Applied Engineering test results are shown in the pictures, the chip with the X's is the bad chip.  The bad chip doesn't seem to be affecting the system at least as long as I've used it.

The external Apple 80SC hard drive will be loaded with software of your choice.  I have over 100GB of disk images from Apple II sites all over the world.  Sometimes it is hard to find obscure titles but I have everything you can think of.  You can tell me what System GS/OS version you want and what applications you'd like.  If the applications are not hard drive compatible or don't work with the version of GS/OS you pick I will simply put the disk image on the hard drive.  There will be several different software packages such as Asimov, DiskMaker, DSK2FILE, etc. that you can use to create real disks from the disk images.  I can point you to a few locations online which I've mirrored and you can pick what software you'd like to have installed.  If you have any special partitioning request I can set that up for you as well. I'll include disk images of all of the System GS/OS versions so if you ever decide to play around you can make those disks easily.  I will include 5 brand new blank 3.5" floppy disks so you can make use of those images.

Overall the Apple 80SC is in great condition, the case is very nice with no yellowing and only a minor blemish on the front left corner which is shown in the pictures.  Otherwise the case is very nice on this unit and the drive contains no bad blocks.  The SCSI drive inside is a Quantum LPS drive and it sounds very nice.  Its not very loud and by the sound you can tell it is in excellent working condition.

Please keep in mind it may take me over a week before the system is ready to ship due to allowing for the customized software setup.  You've got 80MB to work with and the more software you choose the longer it will probably take.

A quick rundown of what you will be receiving:

-Apple IIgs ROM 01 CPU unit
-Applied Engineering GS-RAM Plus 6MB RAM card with one bad chip
-Apple II High-Speed SCSI Card with manual
-Apple 80SC External SCSI Hard Drive loaded with the software of your choice
-SCSI Cable and Terminator required to hook up the SCSI drive
-Apple 3.5" Floppy Drive with Original box and packaging materials
-Apple IIgs ADB Keyboard with ADB cable
-Apple ADB Mouse
-5 New 3.5" Blank DS/DD floppy disks to make disks from disk images

The system will be packaged with love to avoid any damage in transit.  If you are comfortable installing the cards yourself I would prefer to ship the system with the memory and SCSI cards removed from the system.  The memory card is pretty heavy and it is likely to come ajar during shipping.  The SCSI card should stay firmly seated though.  The cards can be shipped in anti-static bags inside another sturdy padded box to ensure they are very protected against damage.  I can replace the CPU but I cannot easily replace either of those cards!  Shipping costs reflect the use of good packaging materials to ensure this system arrives to you just the way it is pictured.  I've received my fair share of cracked Apple systems off eBay lately so I know how important this is!

If you have any questions please let me know.  I am always willing to answer any questions about the Apple products I have listed.  If you want additional pictures or further information I will certainly provide them.  I also provide support should there be a problem or question with the item once you receive it.  I cannot necessarily answer every question but as you can probably tell from my feedback I go out of my way to help buyers with any post-purchase questions they may have.
