Hello

i am adding some more information given to us by a member of the Tarot collecters forum, who has been very helpful about the item. a big THANK  you to you truelighth

Hello,

I just looked at your auction. From the pictures I see that you put up, you are selling a Pam-D. The line art is similar to the Pam-A and to the line art in the Key to the Tarot. But the colours are dotted, not with lines. That defines a Pam-D. You also mention that some of the colours bleed next to the lines, that happens with the Pam-D as well.

The Pam-A is usually worth a lot more, so I hope you are not disappointed. However, this copy is interesting, as it comes in a red box with the Key to the Tarot. As far as I know, the Pam-D has usually shown up without a box or a book. Once before, a few months ago, a copy showed up with a box and a book, like yours. That was the first hint that this deck was printed at 1920 and probably sold before even the Pam-B and C versions. The fact that your copy also has the box and book, shows that more Pam-D decks were sold this way. And that is valuable information and makes this deck more interesting again.

Anyway, this the information I can share with you. .  the Pam-D decks were being stocked together from all sorts of discarded cards, then that explains that corner on the Moon card you got a question about.

I wish you luck with your auction and thank you for pointing out the auction to me. I am always happy to help out and to find out more information about the RWS myself.

Best wishes,
