This rare album contains 94 photographs from Golden, Colorado dating from approximately 1880-1900. Featured are buildings, landmarks, landscape, people, animals, and Victorian interiors. All are showcased within 3.75 by 4.50 inch openings on 7.50 by 11.25 inch black, paper-covered matte-type boards.
All are in very good vintage condition, with one or two small closed tears and folded corners. Two photos are cut in half, one with two pieces to fill the entire window. The album spine is tight, with some cracking on the edges. The paper on the inside cover has a 3-inch tear, and one of the photo windows is also torn. All in all, this album is in marvelous shape for its 120 or more years of age.
In researching this album I could only find similar photos in museum collections: these are rare images. I obtained the album at an auction of Nebraska estate items.
Only $9.99 to open this auction, with NO RESERVE. Don't miss a chance to own this fantastic piece of Colorado history!
