Apple Computer - ipod ORIGINAL INTRO 1.25" THICK ACRYLIC Display Base - BEYOND RARE
Available now this BEYOND rare & collectable Apple ipod retail store display base made of 1.25" thick acrylic, it measures 11" by 8" and weighs just over 4 lbs. This base was designed to display the first iteration of the the newly introduced Apple iPod and could be mounted to a counter with the included screw placed under the last layer as seen in the last photo. There are three layers of acrylic secured by hex screws on either side; first layer is 3/4" & the other two are 1/4". Between the two lower plates the printed ad material is secured. We seriously doubt you will see this display for sale as they were never available to the public and were used exclusively in Apple computer retail stores. While we do not know the exact number of how many of these were produced, we do know there are 423 Apple retail stores as of Feb. 2014 so we surmise maybe only a few hundred of these exist. To give you an idea of just how rare this display stand is, try to Google/photo search it, see if you can even find it much less one for sale & you DEFINITELY will not find one new/unused. If you collect Apple & ipod Memorabilia this will make an INCREDIBLE addition. If you own an original iPod, we can not imagine a better way to display it. This is a recession proof investment that will only increase in value. While the Item is in excellent condition, please do not expect flawless/mint as it was on display, if you spend enough time and look real close you may find slight scratches & flaws - nothing major, ALL of which can be polished out if desired.
