This World War 2 Trench Art cigarette case I think dates to the early 1940s, the case is made of aluminium probably used from scrap parts of metal from equipment and has been hand engraved inside and out, on the outside there is a picture of a British Royal Navy ship as seen that has been well engraved , on the other side is a representation of a lion and engraved Sierra Leone where I presume this cigarette case was made, inside there is an engraving of a womans head with a typical hairstyle of the period and an ornate engraved panel on the other side, the case measures 5 x 3 inches and in good condition just very minor wear and tear with age
