Here's your chance to own a special car.  This 1974 BMW 2002 is a European version that was brought into the U.S. a few years ago. The previous owner owned the car for over 28 years, first in Paris France and then in Poland. It has been well taken care of for the past 40 years, getting undercoated in France years ago and getting repainted in Poland. It's very high on the "cool scale" and gets lots of attention when driving it. I've owned the car for a few months but my plans just changed and I need to sell the car. I'm hoping I don't regret it since I probably won't see another one like this anytime soon.

About the car:

It's a true "Euro". The '74-'76 U.S. versions has the square taillights with the ugly 5mph bumpers. Although functional, the big bumpers ruined the styling of the car. Euro models have the square taillights but retained the smaller chrome bumpers, smooth front turn signals and of course a speedometer in kilometers per hour and heater/vent controls in German. This car is not perfect, never having received a restoration, but has had a lot of attention given to it over the years. The paint is very presentable but has some chips and scratches here and there and the undercoating was put on a little too generously in places but is still in good shape and protecting the underside. Overall, the body is very solid and much better than most I've seen. According to the previous owner the engine and transmission are original and the car runs and drives great. The suspension is stock and the car rides soft, but feels right when you're driving. The interior is in very good condition with a perfect dashboard (2002 owners know how important and rare this is) and the upholstery is also nice but could use some padding in the seats. Another thing that makes this car interesting is the fact that the tires are almost new but they were purchased in Poland when the PO lived there. When he moved to the U.S. he put some later model wheels and tires on the car and stored the current wheels and tires in his garage.  This adds to the "cool scale" in my book.
