We have here my old father's old boat ... it's a racing yacht, its a soling which was an olympic class in its day. He sailed it a lot back in the 70's 80's. It's been sitting in the garden in Edinburgh for 20 years or so on its trailer. The boat has been punctured by a trailer support. Not sure if this is repairable but I'm sure the right enthusiastic person or club could sort it all out (In the photo it looks like there is a crack leading away from the hole but its not a crack, its just a line of water being caught by the sunlight, so the hole is fairly clean edges).
The mast, rigging, sails, sheets, etc are available and must be worth something. The trailer is pretty good and worth something (I'd keep it myself). So have a think on this and see if its something you'd be interested in getting involved with, maybe tell friends in your yacht club please. We are needing to get it moved on now, hopefully to a good home. If there are no takers, we will be cutting it into pieces to fit into a skip in 10 days time, so be quick if you want it. Offers considered for the useful parts as spares for another soling. The damaged boat itself can go FREE to a good home, you'll have to move it.
