Lambretta Li150 - 1964
On 15-May-16 at 11:03:35 BST, seller added the following information:Imported some years ago and I brought it
for restoration which I total took about 6 years to date, now I have been
riding this for a year and want another project, but as I don’t have the space
it has to be sold.
I tried to use as much Lambretta of
the original parts as possible, except perishables.
Engine just run it over 500 miles with no issues, original company that built
the gearbox did a shocking job so last summer it was fully rebuilt by a local
company replacing literally every component except the casing, total
£800.
Nearly
£7000 spent on her over the period of time since starting the project, some
wasted, but essentially all now working really well.
She
is a real head turner, I get lots of attention from the passing public so if
like me you like that great. If not take of the mirrors & lights and you
can have an original scooter that looks and sounds the part.
Also
coming with the bike are some extras, like front crash rack & stainless
steel runner end plates (not on the bike as I don’t like drilling holes in
her), costs for those at nearly
£200.
New MOT this month and she sailed through with just some tightening of the back
brake cable…No road tax needed as you I’m sure know it is tax exempt.
Used
only every on very dry days, never even brought out of the garage in the winter
time or on rainy days, just sat in her bubble…..
Starting
price is £3750, I’m looking to recover some of my expense but I can only warn
you when entering a complete bare bones restoration, not to expect too recover
all your costs, unless it’s a barn find Ferrari……..
No tyre kickers or dreamers please, only test riding if you have insurance
covering and you bring your driving licence for me to hold on too.
I’m
in Welwyn Garden city Hertfordshire but only available on certain days so if
you want to know anything then text me at 07976205115 and I will call you back…
