Vintage Steve Wozniak Apple founder built "Cloud 9" Core remote control unit

New in original box and with original instruction manuals for programming the remote control.

Steve Wozniak started this company after quitting Apple back around the year 1986-87 and began a company making remote controls that would replace the growing number of remotes sitting on coffee tables. The "Woz" recogized the need to reduce the clutter and consolidate all remotes into one. This was the result of the brainchild idea.  It was later sold to another company, but this is the original model "UC-100", the first model produced.  Notice the "CL9" (for Cloud 9) stamped on the motherboard.  Like the Apple 1, which sold for over $100,000.00 at the London Christied auction, this vintage piece is likely to only climb in value.  I have never seen one come up for sale on eBay yet, this is the first as far as I know.

This is the first wireless remote control ever!

It not only includes the original box and all paperwork and instruction manuals, it also includes the original box that it was shipped in to the original purchaser, that protects the original retail box!

I put batteries in the unit and it came on, showing numbers in the LCD display-(see  the 5th photo).  I can send you additional photos if desired showing it working and mint conditon of box, materials and remote.

I don't know how to program it, so I couldn't test it out on my TV, but I did install new batteries and the LCD screen lit up with numbers, so it is alive and working, ready for programing.  I doubt it would  work on modern infrared deviced that were invented 20 years after this remote, but who knows? Anyway, I cannot guarantee that it will work for your purposes, so its sold as-is, and as solely a collectors item. It's incredible to have the original display box as shown in the photos. Take a look at the primitive board wiring. Another photo shows the LCD screen working when I put (4)  fresh AA batteries inside.   This would be a great computer museum piece!

* Please check my other auctions coming up, because I have other very rare vintage Apple related collectables such as an original 1st generation iPod new in its original box, and an ATARI 1200 XL computer (new in the box w/ printer, modem and disk drive, as well as a vintage Newton handheld PDA type device, that was a decade ahead of the Palm PDA.
