PlayStation 3 PS3 250GB CECHG01 Firmware 2.76 OtherOS *Very hard to come by!*

This is a refurbished and fully functional 250GB CECHG01 PS3 (40GB model with an upgraded 250GB hard drive). It has been tested and works like new. This console is not backwards compatible with PlayStation 2 games. The console has firmware version 2.76 and the OtherOS Option is still available! This console is in no way modified or hacked, the console just hasn't been updated in about 2 years. The firmware is so old that it still has the original PS3 Boot Animation. The MAC address has been hidden from the above picture.

Physical Condition:
Good physical condition with scratches on the glossy finish around the console. The angled plastic piece to the left of the BluRay drive is taped on using double sided tape so it may fall off (tabs are broken from previous owner). The angled piece below the USB ports is missing. There is a very small dent and some small scratches by the power/eject LEDs.

*Only the PlayStation 3 console shown in the picture is included. Nothing else in the picture is included. For an extra $50, I will include a Sony PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 controller (used with no wear), USB charging cable, power cable, and HDMI cable (Non-3D). Message me if you would like this package added to your total. Orders with this package may ship USPS Parcel Post instead of USPS Priority.*

*This console can be upgraded to the newest firmware provided by Sony however this console is recommended for those people who would like to use OtherOS or any similar feature which has been removed with newer firmware updates. You cannot connect to PlayStation Network without updating the console firmware.*

About my used/refurbished items:
I sell several used and refurbished PS3's and Xbox 360s. All of my items are tested before shipment. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what problem was fixed however if the item is listed in the "Used" category, it has NOT had the YLOD/RROD/E74/any other error requiring a reflow. Most PS3's problems I fix are YLOD which are fixed by reflowing them and most Xbox 360 problems I fix are the RROD which are fixed by reflowing them. Any reflow that I do is done with a professional reflow station. On all used/refurbished consoles regardless of problem, I have replaced the thermal paste with high quality Arctic Silver 5 or Arctic Cooling MX-4 thermal paste and I've cleaned all dust from inside the system. Consoles that have NOT been reflowed are listed in the "Used" category. Reflowed systems are listed in the "Seller refurbished" console.

Warranty:
I offer a non DOA warranty. This means that you must message me on the delivery date of your console if it arrives in a non working condition. Anything after that is not my responsibility. I had to set this rule because of consoles I've received back with visible abuse such as cracks, excessive dust buildup from blocked vents, missing warranty stickers, missing parts, etc. There are no returns or full refunds after the delivery date, no exceptions. Trade In program:
I accept trade in's of broken game consoles. Message me with your console details for a full price. When messaging me include:
  • The manufacture date (On the back for Xbox 360s, on the bottom on most PS3s)
  • Model of the console (for example):
    • For Xbox 360s
      • HDMI/Non HDMI, Elite (black), Arcade (white DVD bezel), Pro (silver DVD bezel), or Slim
    • For PS3s
      • Hard drive size and model number (CECHx01 or CECHxxxxx)
  • If the warranty seal is intact or not (under faceplate on Xbox 360, on bottom of PS3)
  • Physical condition of console
  • Problem with the console

Tips for your console:
This generation of video game consoles are high powered machines that get hot fast. Heat is the number one killer of electronics. My suggestion is to keep your console in a well ventilated area such as an open shelf and in a cool room such as the basement or first floor of a house. Most second floors in a home get significantly warmer than the first floor making the system work much harder to keep itself cool. I also suggest giving your system a break after playing for 3-4 hours or if you feel the system get very hot. Do not open your console or modify the cooling with 3rd party accessories since they can cause further damage. Remember, just because your console is throwing out hot air, it doesn't mean it's overheating, It means it's doing it's job. Hot air blowing out of the system is better than hot air left in the system.

Payments:
I must get your payment within 4 days. After 4 days, an Unpaid Item Case will automatically be filed against you by Ebay. I will block you from my future auctions. The item will be auctioned off to the next highest bidder so there’s a high possibility that the item will not be available. If the item is sold off to the next highest bidder, you will no longer get it. You will be refunded if you paid. Please make sure you are able to pay for the item before you bid. I do not listen to "My PayPal isn't working" or "I had to use my money for something else" stories.

Orders placed by mistake:
Shipping cost will not be refunded and a 5% restocking fee on the sale price (excluding shipping) will not be refunded. If you haven't paid yet, I must get the restocking fee before I allow you to cancel the transaction. Sorry for the confusion guys, this console is NOT refurbished. I've only cleaned it and replaced the thermal paste with high quality MX-4 paste. The stuff Sony uses is known to go bad after a couple years causing the YLOD. I've replaced it on this before a YLOD so you don't have to worry about getting it.
