This is not the 1992 Super Nintendo Campus Challenge (SNCC) reproduction cart that is sold at RetroUSB.com. This is the real deal!

I currently own one of only three known copies of the 1992 Nintendo Campus Challenge Competition Super Nintendo (SNES).  The rest of them were disassembled and used for parts by Nintendo of America. I was lucky enough to buy it from jollyrancher who found it at the garage sale of someone who used to work for Nintendo.  That employee verified that this was the cartridge used in the competition in Tokyo, Japan and at E3 the following year.

This game is a piece of video game history form the '90s when the war between Nintendo and Sega was still going strong.  In 1992 Nintendo created another nationwide contest after the success of the 1990 Nintendo World Championships (NWC) and the 1991 Nintendo Campus Challenge (NCC).  This was the first official competition cart made for the Super Nintendo.  The event traveled to around 35 different college campuses where thousands of students battled for a chance to compete for the next Nintendo World Championships title.  Nintendo used the same format for this competition as the 1991 NCC.  Even the same trailers from the 1991 NCC were used for this event.

Jeff Hansen was the 11 and under category winner of the 1990 Nintendo World Championships.  He also won using this cart in 2 other international contests.  During the 1992 Nintendo/Famicom Championship held in Tokyo Japan, Jeff Hanson scored 4.5 million beating Yuichi Suyama who scored 2.8 million.  Because of the vast difference in score Yuichi Suyama got a rematch the following year.  That event was held at the 1993 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.  Jeff Hanson scored 4,672,250 points and Yuichi Suyama scored 4,231,650.  Jeff Hanson was crowned the 1993 Nintendo World Champion with the highest score recorded so far.

Here are some videos from the event in Tokyo Japan (using the actual cartridge that is being sold in this auction!!!)

The Super Nintendo Campus Challenge game is much bigger then the average SNES game.  It has a cord that goes out the back so it can network with other games and it displays everyone's score on a separate monitor and is set up with a timer that stops all the games after 6 min.
The games on it are:
1.  The Entire Super Mario World Game - Once you collect 50 coins it will move you on to the next game. It is possible to beat Super Mario World if you set the dip switches for the maximum amount of time and don't collect 50 coins.
2.  Two Laps around the first track in F-Zero
3.  Finally, Pilotwings where you try to get as many points as possible for parachuting and bonus levels were you fall as a penguin and try land on the target with the most points.

Because this was the game that was used in the competition in Japan it is in a Super Famicom casing and will not fit into the SNES unless it is modified to play Super Famicom games. Because of this I'm including the Super Famicom System and all cables. This game will work perfecly in the US on any TV the SNES would work on.

One of a kind paintings sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, as do stamps, coins, rare baseball cards.  This game will only increase in value as time goes by.  The NES 1991 Nintendo Campus Challenge (NCC) was sold for $20,100 on e-bay.  Only three Super Nintendo Campus Challenge Carts exist!!!  Don't miss your chance to be the proud owner of this piece of video game history!
