The Beat Root Solo is professionally made to a high standard from a solid piece of quality sustainable English Beech, with a tuned Beech is an excellent tone wood, warm and responsive, without the harshness often associated with Oak - with the added benefit of having a superb grain. The Solo is small enough to easily pack away, but large enough to give a full range of tones -
acoustic chamber and low level non slip feet.
The unit is also wide enough to stop your foot slipping off whilst playing!
The large sound chamber gives a wide frequency response, so giving you the maximum range of drum sounds depending on where the playing surface is hit, ranging from a deep bass to a snappy snare - not just the sound from the pickup. High quality dual pickups and hardware ensure noise free performance and excellent output.

rounded kick drums to snare tones just from the natural rhythm of your feet.
All you need to do is tap the Solo in time to the music you are playing.
You will also find the sound of the Beat Root will vary
depending on the type of shoes you are wearing -
Trainers or soft rubber soles will give a more bass tone, and
harder leather soles will give you a 'toppier' snare tone.
Tapping the Beat Root at different points will also change the tone,
making it a really versatile beat companion."
