Very rare Victorian treadle lathe, good working order. Elegant cast-iron base. 8 gear / speed ratios Large cast-iron flywheel. Adjustable chuck or static centres for holding workpiece. Adjustable tool rest. All bearings smooth and silent. The drive cord is currently plastic - ideally this should be replaced with leather cordage similar to that used on old Singer treadle sewing machines. I really hope it goes to a loving home! N.B.
