In Their Shoes
After raising an incredible $120,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation last year, Warner Music Australia have been working on a new initiative for their major charity auction for this year and have proudly announced the result - the 'In Their Shoes' campaign.
Working with Converse, eBay and Sharpie, the project has brought together musicians from around the world in hand designing a pair of Converse sneakers. The idea to go about a charity auction in this was sparked originally, when Warner's blog Cool Accidents filmed Grouplove in a special session in Sydney and caught the eye of a hand designed pair of Converses inked by the band's leading lady and successful artist Hannah Hooper.
From there, touring musicians from both Australia and around the world were asked to design a pair of plain white Converse shoes with Sharpie fabric markers. Over the course of 18 months, an impressive collection was amassed, with each artist adding their own colour, humour and flair to each design.

One thing you can always count on from Ben Drew is a concise and focussed narrative, a skill that started with his raps, grew through his 'Defamation of Stickland Banks' soul LP and was ultimately realised on his 2012 motion picture, directorial debut, ‘Ill Manors’.
