FISHMASTERS was a thirty minute comedy take off on the television mainstay, the "Two Guys In A Boat" fishing program. The Fishmasters try to demonstrate fishing techniques and procedures, but rarely catch fish and often find themselves in predicaments and wacky situations not even related to fishing. On many shows their misadventures prevent the duo from even making it to a body of water. Cheesy camera effects and poor video quality mirror the "legitimate" fishing shows found on television since the inception of TV and the two nameless hosts carry on the "fishing show" tradition of inane conversation as they attempt to catch "the hog" of the day. The show aired briefly in many television markets, but predominantly aired on the California Central Coast from 1993 to 2002 and developed a cult following in the process.
YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN "AIR CHECK" RECORDED AT THE TV STATION IN SAN LUIS OBISPO ON VHS. THERE WAS ONLY ONE AIR CHECK RECORDED. THE QUALITY IS NOT BETTER THAN WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN RECORDED BY A HOME VIEWER, BUT VHS COPIES OF THE SHOW ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND. YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE EPISODE M.C. FISH, SUPERSTAR. THE COMMERCIAL BREAKS MAY FEATURE STUFF-O-RAMA ADS AND INSOMNIAC VIDEO ADS. THE VHS SHELL IS BLACK IN A WHITE SLEEVE WITH A HANDWRITTEN LABEL ON AN OBVIOUSLY USED TAPE. THIS IS A GREAT COLLECTOR'S ITEM FOR ANY FISHMASTER FAN. THIS EPISODE FEATURES ONE OF THE FISHMASTERS QUITTING THE SHOW TO BECOME A RAP SUPERSTAR. PLEASE NOTE SOME OF THESE TAPES CONTAIN AN AD FOR THE FISHMASTERS T-SHIRTS AND/OR COMIC BOOK WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY EXPIRED. |
