Very Rare Vintage 106-Page Black Hardcover Yearbook Style Book measures approximately 8-3/4" x 11-1/4", and features a design including aircraft and service personnel on the cover along with the following printed information:

Webb Air Force Base was one of the bases in the Air Training Command and served as headquarters for the 3560th Pilot Training Wing.  Located in Big Spring, Texas, the base was commanded by Colonel Charles Mathes Young in 1955.  Also located at the base were the 3561st Maintenance Squadron Flight-Line; the 509th Air Force Band; the 3360th USAF Hospital; Detachment 1, 16th Weather Squadron; 1900th AACS Squadron; and, 3561st Pilot Training Squadron.

The book includes hundreds and hundreds of black-and-white photographs on nearly every page illustrating operations, drills, training, activities and daily life for staff and trainees stationed at Webb Air Force Base.  Yearbook style photos of all personnel are included along with candid shots showing personnel at work and around the base.

Contents of the book feature: Colonel C.M. Young, Commander, photo and story; History of Webb Air Force Base; Pilot and Training Wing; Wing Headquarters; Group Headquarters; Maintenance & Supply Group; Air Base Group; USAF Mission; History of the United States Air Force; and, photos of USAF Aircraft.

The Vintage Book was published by the Army & Navy Publishing Company, and is in Good Condition for its Considerable Age, with wear, tear and discoloration noted.  Also noted for accuracy is a 1" x 2" cut-out of a small photo on one page.  Please see accompanying photographs.
