eBay

Up for auction is a 1988 Honda TRX 250R.  This was a frame up restoration in 2008 followed by the ESR 370 kit in 2010.  Only used on a few weekend trips since the 370 kit was done.  It was originally built for the sand dunes in Oklahoma, but works well on the trails as well.  In 2010 I had it dyno’d, and the max horse power came in at 57.37 with 33.83 foot pounds of torque.  I believe a stock 250R is somewhere in the 30 to 35 HP range.

I hate to sell it, but I also hate it sitting in my garage collecting dust.  I do have a clear Missouri title.  Here are the list of upgrades:

• Eddie Sanders Racing 370 Kit
• Eddie Sanders Racing 38 MM Airstryker Keihin carb
• FTZ “Super Fat” In-Frame exhaust
• Oversized radiator

• Skat Trak Mohawk (21x7x10) front tires w/Douglas rims
• Eddie Sanders Racing Air Filter mount

• Hella 500 Halogen Driving Lights

Also including stock airbox for trail riding, Clymer Manual, stock rear tail light, 1 Hella 500 replacement light, an assortment of Jets, & 7 NGK Spark Plugs.

4-Wheeler starts and runs great.  In looking at the dyno results, it does look like it is running lean on the top end, so it does need to be dialed in a bit.  As I said earlier, it has only been run a few times since the 370 kit was installed.

Normal wear and tear on the frame paint.  Some light scratches on the Maier plastic.  Also a spot on the plastic where it melted from the exhaust (see pic).

There is also a clutch side bolt that cracked on the case (see pic).  I have a longer bolt in that spot that has worked fine for years.  Just wanted to disclose everything.

A $100 non-refundable Pay Pal deposit is due within 48 hours of closing. I prefer to be contacted ASAP with the buyer’s plan to close the deal.

Buyer is 100% responsible for shipping.  Please do your research before bidding.  There are a lot of shippers available to transport this TRX. I would suggest doing your research online and ask a lot of questions on their method of shipping before you commit. I’d hate to hear of this bike getting messed up along the way.

Final payment will be made in cash (local pickup), Paypal, or wire/transfer only.

I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time, as I also have it listed locally.

Thank you for your time and interest.
