The Beatles 'Everest' - The Alternative (Working Version) Of Abbey Road CD. A wonderfully detailed and comprehensive package featuring rare unreleased songs, alternative unreleased takes and unreleased mixes recorded circa the 1969 Abbey Road sessions, loaded with extras.

'Everest' was the original working name for what was to eventually become the now legendary 'Abbey Road' LP. This CD brings together an extensive collection of 23 tracks which features some real rarities seldom found on other bootleg issues of Abbey Road. I am quite sure that NONE of these versions are featured in The Beatles Anthology series so quite a rare collection here.

A few highlights (full track listing below) to point out are - 'SOMETHING' original draft with long extended coda ending featuring Lennon on piano, AMAZING! An early EMI Studio demo of 'OLD BROWN SHOE', John's demo of 'COLD TURKEY' which was presented to The Beatles for inclusion on the album and rejected. 'YOU NEVER GIVE ME YOUR MONEY' (take 30 with additional extended unreleased jam ending). UNRELEASED SONGS - NOWHERE TO GO, A CASE OF THE BLUES, WINDOW, WINDOW. Czechoslovakian MONO mixes. A huge 24 minute September 1969 interview with John Lennon discussing the album track by track.

The package included here is the finest edition of 'Everest / Abbey Road' I have ever seen. As the versions included here are unreleased it is designed to look like an Apple acetate copy of the album.
