Bolt on Parts Warranty

Includes but is not limited to the following Starters, AC Compressors, Steering Pumps, Alternators, Wiper Motors, etc ... Pulleys may need to be changed on alternators and power steering pumps depending on application. Steering racks may include tie rod ends, we DO NOT cover the tie rod ends. We recommend replacing them with new ones. Shipping credits and return costs are at our discretion We do not cover shipping on items that have been wrongfully purchased.

All parts carry a 6 month parts only warranty. We do not under any circumstances cover labor fees unless otherwise noted. If a part is received defective or fails within 6 months of the purchase date, a replacement part will be shipped out at soon as possible. If a replacement part is not available, a full credit of the part will be issued.

All returns, which are not a direct result of a defective part, are subject to a 25% restock fee no later than 30 days from the origional date of purchase. No shipping charges will be credited. This includes parts incorrectly ordered and/or parts that are no longer needed. There will be no charge if a part is cancelled prior to shipping.

Lifetime Warranty

SELECT PARTS WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ARE COVERED AS LONG AS THE ORIGIONAL BUYER OWNS THE CAR AND A COPY OF THE RECEIPT IS REQUIRED

Engine Warranty

ENGINES ARE CONSIDERED TO CONSIST OF SHORT BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND CYLINDER HEAD. ANY SEALS, GASKETS, FLUIDS, WATER PUMP AND TIMING BELTS MUST BE REPLACED TO ENSURE WARRANTY. OVERHEATED, ALTERED OR IMPROPPERLY INSTALLED PARTS VOID WARRANTY. CHANGE INDUCTION & ELETRICAL SYSTEMS(HARNESS) AS NEEDED.

Transmission Warranty

ALL TRANSMISSIONS AND TRANSFER CASES MUST BE INSTALLED BY AN "ASE" CERTIFIED TRANSMISSION SHOP. NEW FILTER, FLUIDS AND SEALS MUST BE INSTALLED. ALL FLUID COOLER LINES MUST BE FLUSHED, SHIFT/DETENT CABLE OR LINKAGE ASSEMBLIES MUST BE ADJUSTED. TORQUE CONVERTER MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED. CUSTOMER MUST OBTAIN INVOICES FOR ALL PARTS.

EXTENDED WARRANTY

BISHOP'S AUTO PARTS, A LEADER IN THE USED AUTO PARTS INDUSTRY, IS NOW OFFERING A 1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER FOR A 1 YEAR PERIOD AGAINST PRODUCT FAILURE FOR PARTS AND LABOR COSTS CAPPED AT THE MITCHELL FLAT RATE GUIDE OF $65 PER HOUR. ALL LABOR MUST BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED REPAIR FACILITY. THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF PART IS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED, DISMANTLED, OVERHEATED, OR USED IN A COMMERCIAL APPLICATION. WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO INTERNAL PARTS ONLY; GASKETS, SEALS, TIMING COMPONENTS OR EXTERNAL PARTS ARE NOT COVERED. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY BISHOP'S AUTO PARTS PRIOR TO ANY REPAIR.ANY DEFECTIVE PART MUST BE MADE AVAILABLE TO BISHOP'S AUTO PARTS FOR INSPECTION PRIOR TO ANY CLAIM BEING PAID. THE ORIGINAL INVOICE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS

To return an item you must contact us within the 30 day period to obtain a RMA number (return material authorization). Please Contact us prior to returning any merchandise to activate your RMA#.

Original shipping charges and return shipping charges are not refunded.

Once you obtain an RMA number, ship the item back to Bishop's Auto Parts, 120 Stantack Road, Middletown, CT, 06457 along with the RMA number.

Shipping

Items shipped out will leave with UPS OR Fed Ex. A tracking number will be e-mailed to you when availible. This applies to all bolt on items and small items under 70lbs. Shipping is not refundable under any circumstances. Customer is also responsible for return shipping. Items returned for reasons other then warranty claims are subject to a 25% restocking fee. We do not ship outside of the continental US.Some parts are larger than others and are too big to ship. At our discretion, if a part is oversized, we will contact you and let you know if it is able to ship at an extra cost, or not able to ship at all.

The following terms apply when buying an engine, transmission, seats, or other oversized item from us. This does not apply to items being shipped via UPS. It is VERY important to read through this thoroughly before finishing the check out.

Items must be shipped to a commercial address or a local terminal for pick up. Please contact us for availablility.

Commercial address:

A comercially zoned area able to unload a freight item from a freight truck. Example would be the shop that's doing the work for you. A shop operating at a residence is not considered commercial unless it's licenced and operating in a commercial zoned area. This location must have a loading dock or fork lift to take delivery. We will not cover multiple delivery fees and lift gate fees if the locations is unable to unload the truck. 

Inspect it before you Sign!

1. Note on the freight bill any obvious damage at the time of delivery.If  a part is damaged during shipping, it must be brought to the driver's attention and noted on the signed delivery slip. We cannot refund or credit buyers if there is nothing noted on the slip. How will we know if it was actually damaged in shipping?

2. If  damage is suspected, OPEN IMMEDIATELY and make a thorough inspection.

3 Hold all damaged goods and their packaging materials for inspection.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us via eBay Message within 24 hrs for instructions.

Keep in mind that you are signing a legal document when you are signing the freight delivery receipt under the statement "received in good condition except as noted". Bishop's Auto Parts is not responsible for any damages caused during shipping unless the above terms are met. By following these guidelines, we hope to keep our shipping problems to a minimum and can continue to offer you excellent service. 

Availability

If you cannot find a part that you need in the store, please contact us and we will let you know if we can get it and the price. Due to high demand, short supply or human error, occasionally we may be out of stock on an item. If this happens, we will contact you immediately and offer you the option of waiting for the part to come in stock, or a full refund.

Core Charge. Core is an acronym for ‘Cash On Return’. A core charge is sometimes applied to rebuildable parts such as engines or alternators that can be redeemed for a portion of their original price. If the part you are purchasing has a core charge applied, it will be noted in the description.

Parts Grading. A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

A Grade - The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.
B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.
C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.
No Grade  - A part that has not yet been graded.
