This is my beloved Triumph GT6. Despite it’s L registration it is a 1972 car, and included in the sale is a Heritage Motor Centre certificate which proves its date of manufacture is 1^st August 1972 qualifying it for tax exemption status. .

It has a full 12 months MOT, the main thing required to pass was to improve handbrake efficiency. In fact I have just fitted a brand new rear handbrake cable.

The bodywork has been restored where any rust was cut out and new metal welded in place. The chassis is solid too. The exhaust is in very good condition.

The braking system has been fully checked and serviced. All callipers and cylinders were removed, inspected cleaned and replaced. The brake master cylinder required new seals which were fitted. New brake pads were installed on the front, the rear shoes were fine. The brake pipes are all modern copper type. The clutch hydraulics were similarly serviced and new seals fitted the slave cylinder. New wheel bearings have been installed on the front.

The engine is in good order and has new oil. The cooling system is also in good order and has new antifreeze.  The carburettors were dismantled inspected, cleaned and some new parts fitted such as new floats and needle valves. They have been balanced and mixture was tested using a CO2 meter and when warm the mixture is spot on. The ignition system is in good order with recent new points distributor cap and ignition leads.

The interior is in good overall condition, and it has five good tyres with restored GT6 wheels .

This car sounds fantastic, it really turns heads and puts a smile on your face. It really does sound like a sports car even when you just drive at 30MPH to the shops. If you have never owned or driven one of these you will not be disappointed.

It is currently showing over 94,000 miles on the clock, which I believe to be genuine. Some history is included, but only some of the MOT’s are there. These show it had done 68,916 miles in Sept 1985, 72,600 miles in Oct 1986, 89,450 in Nov 1992 and 92,499 in 1993 and 96,216 on Nov 24th 1994. It has been off the road for over 15 years but is now ready to use.This is a very reluctant sale unforchantly dew to a change  my personal circumstance.
