You are bidding on an old antique Majestic Focusing Spotlight manufactured by the Sweet Wallach & Co. which was purchased by Eastman Kodak Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Most of the information on Sweet Wallach & Co. on the web references the late 1890's and early 1900's. I'm not sure exactly what time period this spotlight comes from but it was back when the electric cords were cloth wound. The cord on this spotlight is cloth wound up to the switch and a newer cord was installed from that point.
This spotlight is in working condition as you can see from the photo. I have not disturbed the patina of this spotlight. The light is about 8 inches from front to back and stands about 8 inches high. This light is missing the stand and there is a shallow dent in one side of the light. There are a few chips out of one edge of the lens and this is shown in the photo. This spotlight was one that was probably used for lighting on stage or in a theatre. A very nice piece of lighting history. Here's your chance to bid now.
