Item Details
For your consideration is this vintage 1959 Fender Telecaster/Esquire electric guitar body. This 100% all original example has a pencil date within the bridge pickup cavity that reads "3-59" and was originally paired with a non-dated maple Esquire neck. While it was originally fitted as an Esquire, all such bodies feature traditional Telecaster routs, and though this remains a completely unmolested Esquire body (with no neck pickup screw holes,) it can easily be adapted for Telecaster use. This top-loader, non-strings-thru example, can easily be converted to a more popular strings-thru Tele body by most any luthier if desired, so take advantage of this Buy it Now/Best Offer listing with Free Worldwide shipping, and get this incredible tone-filled vintage Blonde Ash Esquire body to restore your refinished but otherwise original valuable vintage guitar!
The wear patterns and general condition is accurately portrayed in the series of very high resolution photos to the right of this text column. It exhibits typical belt buckle wear, denim jeans rivet worming, arm wear, scratches, dings, dents, weather-checking, etc. The classic 5-screw pattern Tele configuration is the most iconic of any, and this wear trumps any relic wannabe. Aside from the authentic mojo, the body is structurally perfect and all original, with no cracks, no modifications, no breaks, etc. It includes the orginal strap buttons. The body only weighs 4 lbs. 10 oz.
