McIntosh 240 MC240 Power Amp With Original Box!
Up for auction is an all original McIntosh 240 power amplifier. Comes with the original box and tube cage. No tubes are included with the amp. 1963 vintage.
The amp was brought up very slowly on a variac and then tested for function with a full complement of tubes. Both channels have a medium sized hum. One channel works and produces music while the other does not. The cosmetics of the amp are very nice when speaking of the transformers and black chassis shroud. The chrome chassis is rusty as seen in the photos. This is a perfect candidate for restoration as it is an early model with the original box.
