Quite rare in any condition. Possesses moderate wear with some creasing and a couple of tears on the left and right edges of the program. Has some residual tape marks on the first two pages, which could probably be removed. Above average condition for this time period.
This program is from Chicago Bears' 1933 season in which they captured the first ever NFL Championship. The Bears defeated the Chicago Cardinals in this game, played on November 30, by a score of 22 to 6. In 1922 a tradition was begun where the Bears would play the Cardinals on Thanksgiving day. This tradition lasted until 1933, commemorated by this program.
Featured for the Bears are five Hall of Famers including Red Grange, Bill Hewitt, Link Lyman, George Musso, and Bronko Nagurski. The Cardinals had two Hall of Famers—their owner, Charles Bidwell, Sr. and guard, Walter Kiesling.
