This is a rare 1st Printing of the 1st UK hardback published by Jonathan Cape in 1959.
This particular copy has been bound in the much rarer 1st state boards with the small diagonal point of detail to the top left of the skull on the front board.
A Very Good original 1st issue wrapper with the price neatly clipped and the Goldfinger blurb to the front inner flap.
Two small chips and a little wear to head, foot and corners.
A mostly bright and clean copy, with a lightly toned spine.
A few small marks to back panel.
Some small repairs done to the reverse of the jacket, stabilising the wear to the spine.
Joints of flaps a little worn and frayed.
A very good book, in the 1st state boards.
Blind-stamped skull, with gold coins for eyes.
Bright gold gilt lettering to spine.
Slight fraying at head of spine and to corners.
A little bumping to foot of spine.
Pages clean and free of rips, creases and inscriptions.
Lightly toned, with a couple of light marks to page edges.
A rather smart, bright solid copy, with only minor repairs.
