Dieses kurze Shinai wird von Nitokämpfer als Kurzschwert (Shoto) benutzt. Es ist 63 cm lang und wiegt ca. 300 g. Das Shinai hat einen ovalen Griff um eine unbemerkte Drehung des Shinai in der Hand zu verhindern. Der Griffe ist ca. 14,5 cm lang.
