|Physical Description: Hardbacks, tall 8vo, approx 10 x 6 inches / 25 x 16cm, xviii + 521; x + 498; x + 514 and x + 554 pages with colour frontispieces and mono / colour plates all confirmed present as indexed.|
|External Conditions: Very light wear to the red buckram and marbled paper boards and spines, gilt spine letterings clear and bright.|
|Internal Conditions: All four volumes securely bound with hinges fully intact and text blocks sound (strips of very light to moderate glue shadowing adjoining the plain endpaper hinges, light patches of binder's glue discolouration to three bottom edges), no previous ownership inscriptions, a couple very isolated spots of light internal paper discolouration / glue spotting but all four volumes internally Fine in a very clean and clear condition.|
|Slipcase Condition: Light shelf wear, light to moderate bump to one of the rear top corners, very clean and sturdy.|
