This gemstone rough originates from Slaughter Mountain, Arizona, known for fire agate gems with intense color variations from bright reds and oranges to intense greens, purples and blues. Photographs were taken indoors under lights and outdoors in sunlight while the stones were both dry and then also wet to simulate a polish and best expose the internal fire.

This piece is from our old gemstone cutting stock material purchased over the years directly from the Apache fire agate miners. This piece of gemstone rough is a natural rock and may be subject to the normal flaws as found in nature or as in the result of the hard-rock mining extraction process (cracks, chips, etc).
