This adapter converts a 1.8 Inch Micro SATA Drive to a 2.5 Inch drive form factor.  This is also known as a SATA to Micro-SATA Adapter.   This is the perfect solution if you want to attach a 1.8 Inch SATA SSD into a laptop's 2.5 Inch Hard Drive bay.  This adapter caddy has an internal Micro-SATA connector for the 1.8 Inch Drives  and a standard external SATA connector.   It has the same dimensions as a standard 2.5" hard drive with a 9.5mm height.  This adapter has built-in support for both 3.3V and 5.0V.
