This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage Depression Era Quilt Pattern. The pattern dates to the 1930s or 1940s and is a design called Whirling Star. The name of this pattern describes it perfectly - it does look like it is motion, like a fancy pinwheel. This old pattern is perfect for the quilter who wants to make her own piece of history. The first picture is of a single quilt square and the second picture is of the whole quilt. The individual qult blocks measure about 12" square. Instructions are given for either a Single Bed (66X102) which takes 40 blocks to make, or a Double Bed (78X102) which takes 48 blocks to make. I include a black and white copy of the instructions and the complete pattern. I have IMPROVED THE PATTERN for easier use by printing enlarged instructions for easier reading. It's just one more way that MJ's Vintage Patterns is always thinking of the customer first. Please email me with any questions that you have.
