...is pleased to introduce an Adorable Miniature Sun Bear Cub...

"Palu"

I'm excited to introduce Palu to you! He is a sweet and tiny Malayan Sun Bear cub who hopes you'll love him as much as I do!

Palu is 1 3/4" long - it was a challenge to create a detailed baby at under 2 inches! His sheepskin rug is about 5 3/4” at its longest width.

Palu is a one of a kind (OOAK) artist sun bear completely designed and handsewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours went into this baby! I am no longer doing special orders and will not be creating another one like him.

Palu is made from a very short faux fur and from ultra suede. His white marking on his chest is inset white faux fur.

Palu's adorable face is full of detail. His face has been carefully thread sculpted, scissor sculpted and shaded. He has soulful glass eyes which I painted black. I hand sculpted his teeny tiny realistic epoxy clay nose - it does have nostrils :o)

Palu's detailed paws are ultra suede which I thread sculpted and shaded. I hand sculpted each of his tiny claws, then shaded and sealed them.

Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another sun bear just like Palu. I do not have a pattern that I can remake him with.

Palu is completely handsewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. He is armatured for lots of fun poses!

Palu's sheepskin rug is cut from a sheepskin coat that I am recycling.

Palu and his sheepskin rug will arrive in a special box with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable baby sun bear made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts.
