Up for sale is a GORGEOUS polka dot halter dress from Miss Hussy. If you've not heard of them, they're a now sadly defunct Vegas-based brand, in the same vein as Stop Staring or Bettie Page Clothing, who hand make beautiful rockabilly and pin up clothes. They're very high quality and made with great attention to detail, and this gorgeous dress is no exception. It would be perfect for prom, next year's VLV, or any rockabilly/pin up event!

The dress is a halter style with a nipped in waist, full skirt, and tie top that forms a bow at the back of the neck. At the centre of the cleavage, the waist is also accented with a little bow, and a stunning rhinestone brooch. (This is SO sparkly - my pictures do NOT do it justice).

The fabric is a bright white (feels like thick polycotton) acccented with large, inch wide, canary yellow polka dots. The dots have a slight sheen or shimmer to them - in the light they shift colour and look almost sparkly. Really, this fabric is amazing! I can't say enough good things about it! The lining is a white satin (feels like acetate) which slips against your skin, so this is gorgeous and comfortable to wear.

The size is marked a small. This is designed for about a 25-27 inch waist. The bust and hips are basically freesize because the top is totally adjustable and the skirt is a full circle, so your waist measurement is the most important. If you're in any doubt send me your waist and underbust measurement let me know - for ref, I'm 25-28 and my mannequin is 27-30 and this dress fits me but as you can see doesn't quite zip up on her. Apart from being tried on, this is unworn - I am terrible for buying dresses I don't wear. if I wasn't in desperate need of money and wardrobe space I wouldn't be selling, but I hope it goes to a fantastic new home :)

Finally - the lovely picture of Jaime Deadly belongs to Miss Hussy. I can't find the photographer's info, but the copyright belongs to them. Thank you to them for making such beautiful clothes! :)

...Everything else!

I try my best to be a good ebayer because after ten years I've seen the full gamut of sellers, so that's my general operating principle. My specific policies are:
  • Postage If the postage quote I've provided is more than 50p over what it costs me to send the item, I'll refund you the difference (this particularly applies to international bidders - I nearly always set the rate to a flat £12, but it is nearly always less than this in practice). I'll happily combine postage if you win more than one auction, just let me know. I try to post the next day after receiving payment, but I am human, so if I can't get to the post office the following day I'll send a message to let you know. If you want an item gift wrapped likewise I can usually accommodate this, just get in touch. Sometimes I reuse postal materials to cut down costs - if this is a problem (for instance because you want to give the item to someone else) let me know.
  • Returns I offer returns if the item is misdescribed - I look over all items thoroughly and do my level best to describe them very accurately, but if I've missed something don't hesitate to get in touch. If you are unhappy for any other reason, I would also be much obliged if you'd contact me before regarding the transaction as finished, because I'm a reasonable person and I don't want you to be unsatisfied with a purchase.
  • About me Most of what I sell is very lightly worn or new clothing from my wardrobe, vintage, and BNWT clothing from my mother's. She brought me up properly, and we both taken very good care of our garments! Nobody in our house smokes, although I do have cats (and very rascally they are too). I don't let them in my closet room but sometimes hairs do get caught in the package - please bear this in mind if you're severely allergic, because I don't want to be the cause of any adverse reactions.
Contact me with any questions, and I'll do my best to get back to you as quick as possible. Thank you very much and happy bidding!
