$100 DirecTV Referral Credit...PLUS 25,000 American Airlines AAdvantage Miles!
You may have seen the DirecTV
ads (the happy Ben Franklins!) offering $10/month credit when you are
referred by a friend; to our mutual benefit, well I can be that friend. This is a very
easy discount to get. In fact, you don't even need to bid on this
auction (unless you want the feedback), because all the steps you need to take are right here. Note
that this additional $10/month credit is in addition to ALL other
regular DirecTV promotions, including their current promotion of $35-$40/mo
off during the first year, $10/mo off during the second year (depending upon package selected), and 3 months Free HBO/Showtime. If you are
planning on ordering DirecTV anyway, you have nothing to lose, and $100,
plus 25,000 American Airlines miles to gain!
When ordering DirecTV through their AA link, you will also receive 25,000 American Airlines AAdvantage Miles (of course, after activation). To stack this referral discount along with the AAdvantage miles promotion, in addition to the other monthly savings afforded all new customers (additional discounts are clearly shown when you browse DirecTV's website and in their cart), take the following steps: 1) Go to the the American Airlines DirecTV landing page: http://www.aa.directv.com/DTVAPP/index.jsp 2) Make sure you see the Above American Airlines banner at the top of your page. If you do not, it is likely because you have a saved cookie from a previous visit, in which case, clear your browser's cookies and repeat step 1. 3) Click the orange "Get DIRECTV" button. 4) Go shopping! ...Select your desired programming package, choice of receivers and then click the orange "Proceed to Cart" button... 5) At the top of the shopping cart, enter your American Airlines AAdvantage number to which your 25,000 miles will be credited. If you don't have one, open an account at https://www.aa.com/AAdvantage/quickEnroll.do -- At this point, your additional $10 month referral discount has not yet been applied. This next step is important, without which you will miss the additional $100 savings -- 6) In order to stack the referral discount open a new tab in your browser (Ctrl+T) and enter the following link in the new tab: http://www.directv.com/refer. Note the AA logo is still at the top of the page. In the upper left corner under "Start here"..."enter your friend's DIRECTV account number here", enter my account number number 032756567, and click the orange "Get DIRECTV" button. 7) An updated shopping cart will be displayed, now reflecting a new line under the "Discounts" section, "Referral Credit for 10 Months -$10.00". If you're a side-by-side comparison person, you can toggle back to the first Shopping Cart tab in your browser to compare -- that $10.00 discount will not exist in the first tab. Just make sure you go back to the second tab before you complete the order :). 8) Click the orange "Check Out" button, and complete your order.
