The English Version of the Poyglott Bible, etc. Boston: Taggard/ Thompson, 1864. Bible shows some rubbing, staining, warping & wear to extremities, and is in the popular military preferred format of wrap around leather tab and slip.  The slip strap is missing and there is a light warp to the Bible. The Bible has a faded gilt title on top of the flap, 'POLYGLOTT BIBLE,' as shown in pic.bBinding is tight, although the hinges are lightly split and the Bible has additional flaws; engraved title is present but main title missing, may have been issued without, but both frontis pieces and engraved titles are present and in full color, as shown. Interior browned and stained. The Bible is inscribed on the first leaf' in faded pencil, as shown, hard to read. From a Grandfather to a Grandson, as far as I can make out, with the last name of Knapp. Nice example of a period Bible but sadly very worn. Good luck!
