You are bidding on a mint-condition Western Flyer carry-on bag by Seattle bag manufacturer Tom Bihn that is never used, with tag, in Navy/Solar. The exterior is in a beautiful navy color that is different from standard luggage black, but classy. The interior, made of 200 denier Dyneema nylon ripstop fabric, however, sets this bag apart from other Western Flyers--Tom Bihn does not make this color combination anymore.

I love the Western Flyer and bought this last year when they announced that they were retiring the solar color. It stayed in my closet since I was between trips... then they announced the new all-Dyneema version, so I wound up picking one of those up instead. Since it was outside of the three-month return policy, I just held onto this bag, figuring I could give it to someone as a birthday gift in the future.

This Western Flyer comes with hideaway backpack straps, and is 18" x 12" x 7" with a 1,600 cubic inch capacity. This makes a perfect carry-on bag; even full, you can put this in the underseat area. It's a perfect way to carry your valuables and a change of clothes; or if you pack lightly, you can use this as your primary travel bag. This bag retails for $210.

I love this bag, but I am parting with it for a cause: On May 11, 2013, I will be running in the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA, a national fundraising and marathon training program. As part of my fundraising, I have decided to auction a number of items, including this one.

Please know that I am donating 100%--every penny--of this auction to the ASPCA. I am not keeping ANY of the sale. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is very important to me, and I appreciate your help and generosity as you help fight an end to animal cruelty, homelessness, and neglect.

If you have any furry friends or have ever adopted a shelter animal, won't you please consider supporting the ASPCA by bidding on this auction? We can help make such a positive impact.
