eBay
You are bidding on a gently used Synapse backpack by Seattle bag manufacturer Tom Bihn. Both the exterior and interior is made from 200 denier Dyneema/nylon ripstop fabric lining.

I had this backpack for about a year and a half, but it's in great shape.

This backpack is 16" x 11.4" x 7.9" with a 1,160 cubic inch capacity, and retails for $140.

Note: With the introduction of the more rugged 400 denier Dyneema, Tom Bihn now uses the newer fabric when you order their all-Dyneema model. This one, however, is part of the original offering, and uses the lighter 200 denier Dyneema. Here's a secret: Even with the lighter Dyneema, this Synapse is still very rugged; it's a Tom Bihn backpack, after all!

Here's something else that might intrigue you, if you love Tom Bihn's bright yellow Solar Dyneema. That's right; this Synapse is made with a Solar interior, a color Tom Bihn no longer sells--that makes this bag really special.

I love this Synapse. I took it with me as my main carry-on to Tokyo last spring, and saying it was great was an understatement. Travel was a breeze, be it on the plane, taxi, or bullet train.

I hate parting with this bag and I never thought I would be putting it up on eBay, but I'm doing it for one reason: On May 11, 2013, I will be running in the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA, a national fundraising and marathon training program. As part of my fundraising, I have decided to auction a number of items, including this one.

Please know that I am donating 100%--every penny--of this auction to the ASPCA. I am not keeping ANY of the sale. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is very important to me, and I appreciate your help and generosity as you help fight an end to animal cruelty, homelessness, and neglect.

If you have any furry friends or have ever adopted a shelter animal, won't you please consider supporting the ASPCA by bidding on this auction? We can help make such a positive impact.
