Keep the bugs and dirt out of your expensive EVSE with this mount! Comes with 4 mounting screws!.

I am the first and original maker and seller of these dummy inlets (published first file Feb 24, 2013). I starting with selling 3D Printed glow-in-the-dark units,
and I have caught some attention and have been asked to ship higher numbers.
I have developed a way to cast liquid plastic to create a quicker-to-build, and stronger unit.
This particular unit is based on my popular open-source hooded dummy that can both hold onto your J1772 plug and your cable at the same time.
Each pin has it's own hole which will ensure bugs will not create some kind of mess in the space/gap between your plug and the inlet.
This also keeps rain, snow and dirt out of your plug.
**That hole on the back of the unit is necessary to add the hook/latch. The most important part of your plug (the pins) are still fully protected.

My open source design is available on the thingiverse, however this particular model is an enhanced version that has smooth surfaces and rounded corners.

This page is to sell my 5 prototypes, they are not 3d printed and can withstand extreme temperatures.
I have tested them down to -17 degrees C (~2 degrees F) and no problems.
The data-sheet for this plastic indicates that it can withstand very high temperatures, it will probably burn before it melts.
As these are prototypes, they are mostly opaque white, and may have some small visible bubbles.

The datasheet for the plastic I used for these prototypes is here: (I used task 3)

If you would like a 3d printed variation of this (such as a different colour), please check out my blog here:

As a special offer for buying a proto-type unit, I am covering the cost of shipping world-wide!

To keep the prices reasonable, I ship with Canada-post small packet -AIR

It takes no longer than 2 weeks to get from here to Western USA or Europe, unfortunately, it does not come with tracking information,

though I will email you a photo of the carton going into the mailbox.

Thanks for viewing!
