This is my modified Ducati that I have owned for 11 years. The bike started life as an ST4S and whilst I have changed the bike cosmetically, the bike remains essentially as standard. This was the top of the range ST with loads of expensive parts.

Engine:  996cc 4 valve (acknowledged to make slightly more power than a ‘standard’ 996 due to the more efficient exhaust routing.

Rear suspension: Ohlins with remote ride height/pre-load adjuster.

Front suspension: Showa USD forks with gold nitrated sliders

Brakes : Brembo

Wheels: Marchesini

Exhausts: SilMoto end cans (original exhausts made for Ducati by Remus also included)

Adjustable brake and clutch levers.

Renthal handlebars and grips with (German-made) top yoke.

Carbon fibre hugger.

I have toured with this bike (to Corsica…and back) with no problems. The bike has never been crashed or even dropped.; I had it modified by a professional bike mechanic (in 2006) because I hated the original riding position and the fairing roasted my thigh! However, I wanted to keep the practical qualities of the bike, like pillion accommodation, centre stand and luggage carrying capability. The bike has a huge petrol tank and is miserly with go-juice even if you are a spirited rider. I have seen 225 miles from a tank. The instrumentation and electrics are basically as standard (battery moved to under seat). The professionally re-sprayed colour is Ducati Senna grey with white tank stripes.

I have used the bike since then for dashing round my local B roads with the occasional weekend away. The mileage is low I ride other bikes and the bike was rarely used between 2006 and 2011 (due to illness) but has been used regularly in summer months since. Sounds superb with the SilMoto exhausts.

The bike is taxed until October 2014 and I have all the original docs and three keys including the important red one. It is on matched Dunlop Roadsmart tyres with plenty of life left, and has just had an oil and filter change.  There is a partial service history and the bike has had annual oil and filter changes regardless of mileage. Cam belts changed at 8500 miles. There is some peeling paint on the engine cases and other small defects commensurate with the bike's age. There is a new MOT which expires 6/07/15.

Viewing can be arranged at St Leonards on Sea (in East Sussex nr Hastings)
