I'm super excited to introduce my newest creation.... Bao Shuo Lou, my largest lifelike panda cub~ 28 inches tall! He is a sweet panda bear cub made from synthetic fur. His name means “Baby Big Hug” because he is a huge hug of a bear!

Bao Shuo Lou is a one of a kind artist panda bear cub completely designed and hand sewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours of love and effort went into this creation!

Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another panda bear cub just like Bao Shuo Lou. I do not work with patterns - just from photos and drawings, so there is no pattern he can be remade from.

Bao Shuo Lou is 28” long when measured from the flat of his foot to the top of his head. I've taken lots of photos of him and I hope you enjoy seeing them all!

Bao Shuo Lou is made from soft, very long pile faux (synthetic) fur – so fluffy! His fur can be combed flat or can be blown with air to get a really fluffy look.

Bao Shuo Lou's adorable baby face is full of detail and took me so many hours to create! His face has been thread sculpted, scissor sculpted and hand shaded. He has soulful black glass eyes with wired eyelids that can be posed so he can be awake or asleep.

Bao Shuo Lou has a realistic epoxy clay nose which I hand sculpted without the use of any molds and painted/sealed black. His mouth is made from genuine suede and is wired for posing. His tongue is thread sculpted and I made his teeth from epoxy clay. I hand sculpted them without a mold and shaded and sealed them.

Bao Shuo Lou is completely hand sewn and filled with polyfil (looser around the neck to allow for more movement), pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. He has cotterpin and disk joints in his arms and legs and is fully armatured (including his tail) for lots of fun poses!

Awww.... he found  a scrap of a different faux fur to cuddle with.  Sleepy baby!

Bao Shuo Lou's leather and fur paws were also extremely time consuming. I scissor sculpted and thread sculpted them. I individually hand sculpted epoxy clay claws for him which I painted and sealed.

Bao Shuo Lou will arrive with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable panda bear cub made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts. Any props I may use in the photos are not included in the auction unless otherwise stated.
